How it works
Describe what you want to explore — a period, an empire, a person's life. Natural language is enough.
The assistant places events on an interactive map with a linked timeline.
Refine your map and share it with students, colleagues, or the world.
What makes it different
The AI assistant lowers the friction of creating maps and adding events, not to do the thinking. It suggests events and fills in draft cards — but every suggestion must be reviewed, edited, and accepted by the student. The work remains theirs.
Historical sources are never neutral, and neither are the narratives we build from them. HistographIQ includes a bias checker that flags potential issues in event descriptions — not to correct, but to prompt reflection and critical thinking.

Early feedback
I really enjoyed learning through maps and AI. It helped me see the exact places where things happened.
Cool site. It helped me explore the life of Haussmann.
